Madison McGhee

Tribal Member

Madison works hard to learn the ancient crafts and traditions of her Indian heritage. A longstanding member of the Powwow club, she travels to Oklahoma for the Green Corn Ceremony and jingle dances in a handmade dress that sounds like rain while praying for people in need—it is a healing dance. Madison is learning her native Muskogee language, finger weaving and basket weaving. While enthusiastic about a future in sports medicine, her passion is to reclaim the traditions of her culture, and to pass them down to future generations.
