Founded in 2006 by breast cancer survivor Maria Ashmore, Women of Hope is an organization of caring and compassionate women dedicated to providing hope and encouragement to families surviving breast cancer and promoting awareness to those unaware of the potential devastating effects of this disease. It’s a sorority you don’t want to join; but it’s also a sisterhood you never want to leave.
“It takes a community to support an effort like this. And it takes a group like Poarch to help sponsor what we do because I cannot tell you the number of diagnoses that have been out there this year and women in need of hope. Without the support of our doctors, the Tribe, our community, and those who volunteer, I don’t believe we would be sitting here today.”
